With this edition, the Juan Bautista Gutiérrez Foundation program of scholarships totals 371 young persons who have transformed their lives and the lives of their families, giving them the tools that they need to succeed and contribute to the development of the country. In addition to covering 100% of the academic costs during 5 years, the program makes available to them a fee for books, a stipend for personal expenses, English language reinforcement, and a support and tutoring program to help them achieve their goal successfully.

“At CMI we are convinced that education is also an important force that unites us to transcend. For that reason, it fills us with happiness to meet the young people who will start 2022 with an opportunity to build the future and change the history of the country with their talent and dedication. Education is the most successful recipe to improve and transform the lives of persons and families. These 100 stories are very special because they honor our REIR Corporate and family values: Responsibility, Excellence, Integrity and Respect” said Juan José Gutiérrez, President of the Juan Bautista Gutiérrez Foundation and President-Chairman of CMI Foods.

The young scholarship recipients stand out for their academic excellence, effort and dedication. They come from different high schools from the Capital of the country and from the departments. All of them will study in private universities in the City and in Department campuses in Alta Verapaz, Quetzaltenango, Zacapa, Sololá and Suchitepéquez.

“To meet the protagonists of the scholarships fills us with hope in the future and confirms to us that dedication and effort are our big allies to conquer the world. Congratulations to all for this great accomplishment and for the beginning of a successful professional career”, Felipe Bosch, Vicepresident of the Juan Bautista Gutiérrez Foundation said.
